I was amazed at long mothers legs were in relation to her baby. I thought it interesting how the baby giraffe was a miniture of mom.

D’Arcy Evans was born in a small town in Ontario, Canada in 1960. His interest in photography was sparked in 1997 while flying over the Yukon River in Alaska in a small plane. He made a photograph of the river that was later used by the geography department at the high school he attended back home.
